CARE USA’s has been working with Cornell University to develop a response analysis tool specifically for food insecurity. The tool is particularly useful in considering cash or food transfer interventions.

Emergency Market Mapping & Analysis (EMMA)
A tool for rapid market assessments in emergencies – while less comprehensive than the Market Information& Food Insecurity Response Analysis tool that CARE has been developing with Cornell it is quicker to use and may therefore be appropriate in some circumstances.
The tool will be publish in early 2010 and there are trainings planned to accompany the publication.
